| Abstract | Este trabalho apresenta uma técnica de seleção de portadoras para modulação OFDM quando operando em canal dispersivo no tempo. A técnica estudada visa a melhoria de desempenho do sistema OFDM em termos de taxa de erro de bits. Sabe-se que os nulos na resposta em frequência dos canais dispersivos no tempo podem resultar em forte degradação do enlace de comunicação. Descrevem-se em detalhes o transmissor, o receptor e o canal que formam o sistema OFDM e através de simulação computacional, avalia-se o desempenho do protótipo lógico desenvolvido quando submetido a técnica proposta. Os resultados de desempenho são apresentados e discutidos. Por fim, apresenta-se a conclusão do artigo com algumas perspectivas para futuras pesquisas. ABSTRACT: This work presents a carrier selection technique for OFDM modulation when operating in a time dispersive channel. The studied technique aims to improve the performance of the OFDM system in terms of bit error rate. It is known that nulls in the frequency response of the time dispersive channels can result in strong degradation of the communication link. The transmitter, receiver and channel that constitute the OFDM system are described in detail and through computational simulation, the performance of the developed logical prototype, when submitted to the proposed technique, is evaluated. The performance results are presented and discussed. Finally, we present the conclusion of the article with some perspectives for future researches. | |||
